The Children Services Building Development Team is seeking to appoint a School Organisation and Place Planning Manager to work in conjunction with the Service Head and Head of Building Development to take the lead role in matters relating to the organisation of schools (inc. Academies).
The post-holder will collaborate with a range of agencies to strategically plan and develop appropriate systems to ensure the effective management of school, SEND and alternative provision place planning, including the modelling of pupil number projections, the development and management of proposals for school organisation changes and statutory consultations on school admissions and related activities.
We are looking for someone with experience of strategic planning and implementation, managing and delivering projects and/or programmes within required timescales. Someone who is able to undertake complex statistical data analysis and produce reports to communicate this information to a variety of audiences, including council members, senior colleagues, school governors, headteachers, parents and the public.
The role is relatively high profile and challenging and you will need to be innovative, self-assured, resilient and able to work at a robust pace.
