We are seeking five enthusiastic applicants for our Gardening (Horticultural)Apprenticeship Programme. The positions are a two year fixed term contract.
As an a apprentice you will join Hillingdon Council's Green Spaces team, a team of dedicated 'Britain in Bloom' award winners. You will be working as part of this team to ensure an excellent service is delivered to our residents and other customers.

As an apprentice we offer both practical and classroom based learning in a wide variety of horticultural tasks including, grass cutting, sports maintenance, bedding displays, shrub and hedge maintenance.

Our five successful candidates will earn £11,732 annual salary (equivalent to £224 per week) - and also receive a generous holiday allowance! (Please note that pay intervals are monthly).
About the person
We are looking for individuals who are interested in starting a career in Horticulture preferably school leaver age but also anyone who maybe looking to change careers or getting back to work.
You will have a pro-active approach to work, be conscientious, flexible, customer focused and enjoy working as part of a team.
You will be required to attend college as part of your learning and development to obtain a City and Guilds Level 2 qualification in Horticulture.
If you have a keen interest in gardening and Horticulture and are looking to broaden your Horticultural experience, we would be delighted to hear from you!
