As a Food and Health & Safety Advisor, a big part of your role will be ensuring that the stores within your region are fully supported to ensure that they are operating safely at all times, taking a ‘hands-on’ approach when needed and escalating concerns appropriately.

Ideally, you will have gained experience within an enforcement role in health and safety and food hygiene working in local government either as a Technical Officer or EHO. Experience in pest control would also be fantastic. You’ll be self-motivated and as determined as we are to ensure we are ‘health-safe-legal’. You will be responsible for your own region of the country but also a member of a committed team of Food and Health and Safety Advisers. Encouraged to use your expertise to provide advice and guidance on managing risk means being dynamic and using your initiative to support a safe environment for our colleagues and customers.

To excel, you need experience in Health & Safety plus the desire and drive to ensure compliance. You must also be committed and disciplined, you’ll feel at home developing and delivering training to others and be the ‘go to’ person in the event of any likely breach and comfortable making decisions. Above all, you’ll feel passionately about your profession and responsible for its success.
